In accessible, value-based care, our client\u2019s leadership recognized the chance to increase ownership and quality of employee health benefits, drive an innovative wellness experience, and provide better access to care.<\/p>\n<p>In 2008, Premise Health built an integrated pharmacy solution that made it easier for employees to access care and obtain necessary medication. This onsite, dedicated solution was staffed with two full-time pharmacists and three technicians.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast to typical retail pharmacies that decrease headcount in order to achieve profitability, Premise Health\u2019s pharmacy solutions emphasize personalized service. At the same time, it helped employees get to the root cause of their health conditions \u2013 all to realize true value and cost savings.<\/p>\n<p>The program delivered additional value through pharmacist-facilitated counseling, drug monitoring, member education, and care coordination to drive effective self-management practices and boost medication adherence. Other benefits included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Free generic prescriptions for enrolled PPO members<\/li>\n<li>15% discount for health savings plan participants<\/li>\n<li>Reduced copays for 90-day vs. 30-day refills<\/li>\n<li>Over-the-counter drug discounts for all pharmacy users<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-2 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n\n<section id=\"block_d57b559c2cddbadc9bd668aca8b4e7e9\" class=\"block block--wysiwyg background--white \">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n    <h2>The Outcome<\/h2>\n<p>The integration of pharmacy services into a primary care model that emphasized personalized, member-centered care was the first step.
