{"id":13833,"date":"2024-06-20T09:18:46","date_gmt":"2024-06-20T14:18:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.premisehealth.com\/?post_type=success_stories&#038;p=13833"},"modified":"2025-06-18T09:36:25","modified_gmt":"2025-06-18T14:36:25","slug":"former-client-returns-to-premise-health-to-boost-wellness-center-utilization-and-member-satisfaction","status":"publish","type":"success_stories","link":"https:\/\/www.premisehealth.com\/resources\/success-stories\/former-client-returns-to-premise-health-to-boost-wellness-center-utilization-and-member-satisfaction\/","title":{"rendered":"Former client returns to Premise Health to boost wellness center utilization and member satisfaction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<section id=\"block_64c1f4a0d0803234c85ffd967ca1712a\" class=\"block block--wysiwyg background--white \">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n    <h3>The Challenge<\/h3>\n<p>In line with their mission to connect their customers nationwide, the organization had initially partnered with Premise in 2006 to expand healthcare access to all their members.<\/p>\n<p>However, after the employer transitioned away from Premise in 2018, the new vendor\u2019s focus on acute care and inability to accept walk-in appointments made it more difficult to get care, especially for members in remote locations.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<section id=\"block_56e4ace85ae87e71ed334341f09f8c24\" class=\"block block--wysiwyg background--white \">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n    <p>Looking to increase access for their members, they rejoined Premise with three goals in mind:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To <strong>provide easy access to care<\/strong> available to members across the country<\/li>\n<li>To <strong>boost utilization<\/strong> by delivering an exceptional member experience at their wellness centers<\/li>\n<li>To <strong>work with a strategic thought partner<\/strong> that could grow and evolve with them long-term<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<!-- Divider -->\n<hr class=\"block--divider\" style=\"border: none; height: 1px; margin-bottom: 0; margin-top: 35px; background: transparent \">\n<!-- Divider end-->\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-2 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<section id=\"block_05bac0845a074c5ec41063566e0cd26f\" class=\"block block--wysiwyg background--white \">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n    <h3>The Solution<\/h3>\n<p>In January 2023 the employer reopened their first onsite wellness center with Premise, offering primary care through the patient-centered medical home (PCMH) model. The center also gave members access to behavioral health counseling, physical therapy, COVID-19 support, travel medicine, radiology, lab services, women\u2019s health, care management, and flu vaccines, all available on campus at their headquarters. By implementing a wellness center that\u2019s exclusive to their members and able to schedule same-day and next-day appointments, the employer was able to make it faster and easier to access care.<\/p>\n<h3>The Outcome<\/h3>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #00a79d;\">INCREASED UTILIZATION\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>In the first 14 months after reopening at the beginning of 2023, over 2,400 unique members have received care at the onsite wellness center, with more than 8,000 total visits.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00a79d;\"><strong>CARE ACROSS THE SPECTRUM\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n47% of members who visited the wellness center in the first six months used multiple services at the site, with primary care, physical therapy, and behavioral health among the services with the most appointments.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #00a79d;\">EXCEPTIONAL MEMBER EXPERIENCES<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>In the first eight months of operation, the average NPS for the wellness center was 91 \u2013 an exceptional result when compared to the median score of 57 across the healthcare industry,<sup>3<\/sup> demonstrating the organization\u2019s focus on providing high-quality, whole-person care while meeting members where they are.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<section id=\"block_8da021e70d689aa954fd47d40d4685f3\" class=\"block block--wysiwyg background--blue \">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n    <h3>Keys to Success<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Walk-In And Same-Day Appointments <\/strong><br \/>\nAmericans wait 26 days on average<sup>1<\/sup> for a primary care appointment. Providers at the reopened wellness center offer hybrid access to care via same-day in-person and virtual appointments that make it more convenient for local members to get the support they need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proactive Member Communications<\/strong><br \/>\nEngagement starts with education.
